That was my favorite thing to do as a child. I always made my brothers play "school" with me... I was the teacher of course. ;)
Our class started buddy reading with Mrs. Dusenbury's child development class a few weeks ago and it's been a big success. We play "teacher" and help them with their letters/sounds and read to them. It's also a review for us and helps to build confidence in our reading skills. As they get to know each other, both classes are learning some social skills too. I love watching them interact with each other. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of my students grow up to be teachers someday.
