celebrations- 2nd nine weeks

I'm very proud of our class for all the hard work they've done so far this year!  Today we celebrated the hard work at the awards celebration.

Even though everyone didn't get an award this time, we still have 2 more quarters to earn one.  I've already started looking for new award winners.

Can You Blow a Bubble?

We have been learning to write instrcutions the past few weeks.  Last week, we wrote how to build a snowman.  This week, it's how to blow a bubble.  Of course it's always fun to chew gum in school, so the students loved trying to figure out the steps.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Last week we learned a lot about Martin Luther King Jr. and all that he stood for and believed.  Some of the children couldn't believe how it used to be back in his time and were so happy to know they could be around all their friends now, no matter their race.

P-A-R-T-Y!!

On our last day before the break, we celebrated the holidays with a party!  They played BINGO, decorated sugar cookies, made reindeer food, played pin the nose on Rudolph & candy cane limbo, and made marshmallow snowmen!  Everyone had a great time relaxing and having fun before we said our goodbyes for the year!

Thank you to the parents who helped out... I couldn't have done without you!

I hope everyone enjoyed their time with their children!  I look forward to seeing them all again tomorrow and hearing about their fun-packed break!

Leaps & Bounce

Leaps & Bounce was something the students were looking forward to for quite some time!  They had to work hard and earn the reward though.  They did a great job the first half of the school year and I hope to see it as we finish off the second half.  We have a lot to learn with many goals to reach by June.  Keep working hard at home!
